EEG

So today I had my EEG. While the MRI takes pictures of the brain, an EEG measures the wavelengths of your brain. So there's a picture of me after I have all 26 neutrodes (the wires & patches) attached to me. Two were on my chest under my collar bones on either side and the rest are, of course, on my head. May I just say, I wasn't allowed to smile, I was super tired (5 hours of sleep compared to the ususal 8-10), and I was definitely ready to go to sleep.

You can see all the wires in this picture. I kept my eyes closed the entire time. First I had to breath deep and fast (like you would when you're exercising), then they flashed a light a few times. Lastly, I just got to relax and try to fall asleep. Hannah was super excited, as a nursing student, to be able to watch my EEG. According to her, there was a blue line at the end of screen and when the light started flashing that line began spiking.
I also, apparently, fell asleep for a little while. I was snoring and nodding off.

Afterwards, Hannah and I were starving and went to IHOP. We may not be big football fans, but we definitely liked IHOP's stuffed french toast footballs. They were AMAZING!!!!
Then we went to the nearby Kohls to find me a jean skirt. Needless to say, we were successful! After that we picked my mom up from work and went back to the house. It was about noonish at this time. I went upstairs to sleep and was out! I woke up around six-ish. I just had dinner and I'm ready to go back to bed.
I'm so happy I didn't have anything super important to do.
