No Regrets

I know, I'm a horrible person. I haven't blogged since I was in school. But I just had to share some thoughts from today. First off, I don't work at Babies R Us anymore. Why is this so important? Because  where I work now... I love it! My co workers are fun! It's nice to be in a place where you feel appreciated not just by the customers but by your co workers too! But I'm still me. I go to work, I do my best, but! I'm getting better at taking criticism. Especially when I make big Uh Ohs. Sadly though, I haven't reached the point where I see my co workers outside of work barely ever. I don't like to think there's a big difference between me at work and me not at work. But enough of a difference in placement that some things are removed and some are gained. No crap attitude removed, more patience gained. (It has to be!)
This week, however, my supervisor, Annie, told me that I'm not like any other Mormon she's ever met. I'm not the Molly Mormon kind or the break every rule in the book kind either. I'm a nice in between-ner. Experience has made me that way. The don't judge what you don't understand kind of person. If I don't understand that's when I get into my annoying constantly asking questions kind of person. I want to know so I can better understand the people around me. Not to mention, once I better understand a person, I become the kind of person you don't want to cross. I very much protect the people I've come to know, and in the process, care about. So I've got a big heart, so sue me.
So today, I sent a co worker a text telling him to enjoy his day off and no regrets! That's the kind of person I've become. If you want to do something, do it with no regrets. If it's something you're not proud of (I definitely have my own) then chalk it up to lessons learned. But if you doubt something, wait, think it over, weigh the pros, the cons, take everything into account. When you know or just don't care, then do it. Just no regrets! So go do whatever you want, but don't come around whining about the consequences that you can't control. The hangover, the break up, the time lost, whatever! Take your grieving period, of course, then chalk it up and keep moving. There will be another day just like it, but enjoy the moment.
Let me share another thing with you (for whomever is reading) before I leave you to the rest of your day. We are always going to meet people who are very two faced. Say one thing to you and another behind your back. That's usually what that means. Those are the kind of people I don't like to take my time for. I don't care for liars. If you can't be honest, how can I know that I can ever trust you with anything?! I've dropped friends that I once really cared about because they couldn't be honest with me. It's sad, but true. It's not fair, but neither is lying to another person. But don't get confused. It's not the little white lies of "I like those shoes." It's the ones that question your integrity. I always say it's better to be honest. You might be surprised how forgiving some people are or even understanding.
As for the two faced perspective, I'm not judging. I've been there. I've done that. It's tiresome, exhausting, and quite frustrating to live that way! So yes, I've done a lot of things, one of the many reasons I am the way I am.
Ok so I've done a lot of rambling. Sorry! Just tune me out, or tell me to shut up. I'm pretty used to it. But for just today. Try going for no regrets. At the end of the day, think over everything you've done. Any regrets? Try for a max of 3, after all it's my favorite number! And here's one to chalk up to experience. Take a leap! Do something you wouldn't normally do. Mine? I'm going to text this link to this post to my new co workers. I might get laughed at or teased. Or it might bite me in the butt. But I'll chalk it up to experience and have no regrets!

And don't think I haven't forgotten any kind of images! Here's some from work this past week!

At Work....[again]

Leah was super excited about what she found in my purse!

She wanted me to open the "bubbles".
If you look at it close enough you'll notice it's a medicine bottle.
That's Leah for you. :)

Too Far Behind

So I know that I do get on just about everyday, but I really am so far behind in posting! I have yet to post pictures from when my Dad's parents were here the weekend before the 4th. And then there are pictures from when our family friends from Virginia stopped by. And last night I took pictures of Laura and Kevin at Southlands. So there are definitely some picture posting I need to get done. So I'm just letting those that are waiting for pictures...I'm trying!!! :)

As for an update in my life... (let's make this easy with bullets!)

  • I'll be here staying at home this fall & attending ACC still (night & online classes), instead of attending UNC.
  • I'm hoping to get a job working in the school district.
  • Dad is still working on finding another job (his last day with "ca" is July 31st).
  • Mom is changing from a meat-based diet to a plant-based diet & my doctors want me on a meat-based diet-GO FIGURE! It's not the first time!
  • Still working at the photography studio & loving it still!
  • I'm getting better and I love it! I have gained so much confidence since I decided in April that I needed to get some help (medical). And may I just say, there's a difference between being cocky and being confident! (More medical stuff to come! I'm so excited! :P jk jk)
  • I've re-evaluated who I spend my time with. So with my few remaining close friends....THEY'RE AMAZING!!! I should give them each a HUGE hug!
  • (I just sprayed myself down with soda...smooth move!)
  • My brothers are the most amazing guys in the world!!! (I've put up a new countdown clock on Austin's Mission Blog that is completely up to date!
  • And I've met some pretty amazing little munchkins this past year thus far...(I need pictures! :) lol!) Jake, Brayden, Logan, Cohen, & Matt (Matt-man)!!!
So that's about it for now...more to come soon! (Hopefully...)

So Dizzy You Hit The Wall!

So how is life you may ask...it goes around and around until one gets so dizzy you hit the wall!
Some of life has been the same, some has been different. I'm constantly reminded that I'm living at home. No car, curfew for everything! Not to mention getting lectured whenever possible. Work is fun, but also so killer! I had an eight hour shift today, not to mention, again later this week!
I feel constantly reminded that I have no social life. No friends around that I can hang out with. I hate being alone every night, doing the same thing every night, yet at the same time I like being alone. I think even though, I was the one that ended my latest relationship, and he never hurt me. I'm still constantly afraid of getting hurt by any guy. One thing I really learned when I was at school is that it doesn't matter if you're a member or not, guys can still be egotistical jerks.
I think one thing that I really seem to look forward to is being able to go to sleep every night, or even just a nap during the day. Even when I was younger, I liked sleeping because when you're sleeping, no one can hurt you. I'm still so surprised that people think I have this really high self esteem, boy would they be surprised. Anyways, I wouldn't say that my dreams are constantly the same thing every time I sleep. But it seems to have the same guy in it. I'm sure that I've seen his face, but when I wake up in the morning I don't remember any of it. Just that there was this guy that I feel familiar to, but at the same time, I don't know him, or who he is. One of those "I've seen you somewhere before..." kind of moments. I guess, I just figured that it's one of those things that if the Lord doesn't want you to know, He'll make sure that you don't remember. But then again, when I do see this guy, maybe it'll just hit me that he seems familiar.
So I won't be going to Idaho for school in the January. I'm sad, but at the same time, I'm kind of happy to get away from "Podunk Mormonville". I have nothing against anyone attending the school. I would love to go back there. But lately, I've really been wanting to go to California. I really feel like going to school in California. I even found a school that I like. I'd really like to next year, go out to California, check out the city and such for myself. And hopefully, check out the school. I know a few people out that way. Maybe I'll give them a ring and see what they're up to.
Well...that's all I got for now.
